Installation Manager MIC (m/f/d)

You bring technology to places where every second counts. At Bucher Leichtbau, you don’t just develop and manufacture components. In the Medical Interior Components (MIC) division, you create highly specialized solutions for rescue helicopters that make it easier for medical teams to do their jobs in the field. As an MIC Installation Manager, you’ll ensure that our systems function perfectly not only in Fällanden, but also directly at the customer’s site and on board the aircraft. You’ll combine technical expertise with hands-on skills, customer interaction, and international travel.

• You install our MIC solutions directly into aircraft. You perform internal and external assembly work and professionally install our systems in rescue helicopters at the customer’s site.
• You assemble components precisely according to drawings, work instructions, and checklists, ensuring that every detail is just right.
• Through bonding, assembly, and repair work, you ensure the quality and functionality of our products.
• You inspect finished assemblies and reliably document the results using inspection plans and checklists.
• You identify opportunities for improvement in our manufacturing processes and actively contribute your experience.
• You can apply your expertise in a targeted manner during repair work under Part 145.
• You are the face of Bucher to our customers: professional, solution-oriented, and confident.
• With approximately 40–50% travel, you’ll also implement our solutions internationally wherever they’re needed.

You’re tech-savvy, enjoy getting your hands dirty, and feel comfortable interacting with customers.

• Completed mechanical or electrical engineering apprenticeship (EFZ)
• Ideally, training or continuing education in the field of aviation technology
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a technical, regulated environment, such as aviation, avionics, medical technology, or the automotive industry
• Proficiency in German and English for international assignments
• Additional training or certification as Certifying Staff in accordance with EASA Part 21G is a plus
• Experience with HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services) systems or a valid certification in this area is an advantage
• You communicate clearly, present yourself professionally, and remain confident when dealing with customers
• You enjoy working as part of a team, take on responsibility, and find practical solutions
