TAP Portugal is the launch operator for the new A330-900neo. For this new airplane TAP has selected Bucher to provide the Galleys and Stowage units. The development of these highly customized cabin products has already reached the PDR milestone; the engineers have been focusing on weight reduction and space optimization without impacting the well-known reliability of Bucher products. The first of 14 airplanes is scheduled to deliver in the second half of 2017.
TAP Portugal has also decided to refurbish seven of their A330-200. For these airplanes, the Lisbon-based airline has also opted for Galleys from Bucher. Bucher has already done the initial installation over 10 years ago. That was when the lasting business relationship between the two companies had started.
Joel Fragata, Cabin Interiors Product Manager of TAP Portugal commented: “The A330neo Galley specification is a new big challenge. Bucher’s performance during the past years and the flexibility offered as well as the known quality were crucial for TAP Portugal during the selection process. We are sure that Bucher will deliver the most efficient Galleys for this amazing aircraft and will permit TAP to have a successful entry into service”
TAP’s continued confidence in Bucher and its products further underscores our determined customer focus and commitment.
